Sunflower protein has significant prospects in Africa

The company Agric S. A., which is a subsidiary of the international group of companies YUG RUSI, will take part in the international exhibition “Food ingredients Africa”. The largest specialized exhibition in the region will be held in Cairo (Egypt) from 02 to 04 August 2021 and will bring together thousands of professionals.

The company Agric S. A. will present at the exhibition a sunflower protein concentrate, which is made from sunflower using a unique technology.  The protein content in this concentrate is more than 80%.  At the same time, it has an excellent composition of amino acids. The effectiveness of the construction of muscle tissue, hormonal metabolism, the synthesis of adrenaline and nerve cells, the recovery of the body after high loads, the production of antibodies by the immune system and the performance of many other important functions by the body depends on the completeness of the amino acid composition of the protein entering the body.

Thus, sunflower protein concentrate from the” South of Russia ” contains leucine, which prevents the appearance of fatigue and protects muscle cells and tissues. Valine, which is a part of sunflower protein, is necessary for the metabolism in muscles and the restoration of damaged tissues.  And the essential amino acid isoleucine is involved in the synthesis of tissues of the entire body and is a source of energy in the implementation of the neuro-regulatory activity of the central nervous system.

Chlorogenic acid, which is a part of sunflower protein concentrate, serves as a powerful antioxidant responsible for the elimination of free radicals from the body.

African countries are characterized by such a trend as the creation of combined products that combine the advantages of vegetable and animal protein.  The economy of many African countries is actively developing today. So, the interest in sunflower protein concentrate in African countries is quite natural and this product has significant prospects on the African market. After all, this protein, among other advantages, does not contain GMOs. I am sure that agreements on supply will be reached with many African partners at this exhibition.”

Thus, according to a report published on the Research And Markets research portal, the global vegetable protein market will reach 35.54 billion US dollars by 2024, increasing by an average of 14% over the period 2020-2024.
